There is another in the fire.
Feel Him here, standing by your side.
There is another in the storm.
Trust Him, and let Him be your guide.
He knows everything that’s happened,
and He will protect you from harm.
So take a deep breath and find rest.
There’s no need for alarm.
He is always with you.
He hears every, single word,
and He’s here to defend you,
so be still and lower your sword.
See Him standing in the whispers,
hearing the gossip and slander of your name.
See Him hanging on the cross,
covered in a mixture of His blood and your shame.
See the scars in His hands.
See the cuts on His brow.
He took all of it in your place.
He won the battle then, and He’s winning it now.
Because the weapons of Satan, your enemy,
are no match for His power.
And while your enemy wants to crush you like a weed,
He wants to cherish you like a flower.
So let Satan do his worst.
Let him seek to destroy you with his lies
because his deception is no match
for the amazing truth of Christ.
The battle belongs to the Lord,
so let Him fight your fight
because the thing about being in the fire
is that it brings everything to light.
All things will be revealed,
and one day, you will fully heal.
So instead of gathering your weapons,
drop everything and kneel.
He will make it all right
and right every wrong.
You just need to remember that
the night is darkest right before dawn.
For every soldier
fighting a battle that only Heaven will tell,
remember the battle is His
and that He will fight it well.
Be brave, dear soldier,
and don’t repay the evil done to you
because He’s the best defender,
and He knows the job He’s going to do.
So let the Fire do His job
and bring everything out in the open.
Let His grace and peace wash over you
and cover you like the ocean.
The Lord WILL fight for you.
You have only to be still.
The Lord IS fighting for you.
He can, and He will.
There’s no need to fear the fire.
Let the storm clear your path.
Let the trial plant you instead of bury you
so that you truly can laugh.
Without any fear of the future,
without worry of what might be,
without concern of what the darkness is doing,
but simply at peace and free.
Trusting the one in the fire,
trusting the one asleep in the boat,
trusting that right when you feel you are certainly drowning,
He is ensuring that you float.
Because those scars on his hands
and those cuts in His brow,
He took all of it in your place.
He won the battle then, and He’s winning it now.
So Much Love,
